While there are just two months left in the 2022-2023 NHL season, it is a good opportunity to update the power rankings for the league.
1. Boston Bruins (+500 Stanley Cup Odds)
The Boston Bruins are an ice hockey team that competes at the professional level and is headquartered in Boston. The Carolina Hurricanes, sometimes known as the Canes in a more colloquial sense, are a professional ice hockey club that plays its home games in Raleigh, North Carolina. They are a member of the Metropolitan Division of the Eastern Conference of the National Hockey League (NHL), and they call PNC Arena in Raleigh, North Carolina, their home arena for NHL competition.
The team, formerly known as the New England Whalers and competing in the World Hockey Association, was established in 1971. (WHA). Martin Necas (51 points, 174 shots) and Sebastian Aho (50 points, 152 shots) have both had outstanding seasons thus far and appear to be on the rise. The Hurricanes are still seven points behind the Bruins in the fight for playoff seeding, but they look to be eager to close that gap.
The defeat suffered by the Maple Leafs at the hands of the Chicago Blackhawks by a score of 5-3 on February 19 looks to be more peculiar than worrying for the team. The Maple Leafs bounced back with a victory against the Buffalo Sabres to escape their first losing streak since the middle of January.
As of the 22nd of February, Toronto’s record of 35-15-8 has them in second place in the Atlantic division, only one spot behind the Boston Bruins. The Maple Leafs had a record of fourth place in the overall standings in the 2021-22 season; if they maintain the same level of energy, they will be able to improve on that record this year.
Right winger Mitch Marner has recently ended a 23-game point run and just broke a team record with a 19-game home point streak. He now has 20 goals, 51 assists, 71 points, and 137 shots on goal for the season. Auston Matthews, a star center, is also having a fantastic year, as he has scored 26 goals, has 31 assists, 57 points, and has taken 2011 shots.

Located in Edmonton, the Edmonton Oilers are a club that competes in the professional ice hockey league. The Edmonton Oilers are a team that participates in the NHL and are classified as a member of the Pacific Division of the Western Conference. Rogers Place, which first opened its doors in 2016, is where all of their home games are played. The Edmonton Oilers are a prominent professional ice hockey team that was established in 1971 by W. D. “Wild Bill” Hunter and Dr. Chuck Allard. The team played its inaugural season in 1972 as one of the twelve founding teams of the World Hockey Association (WHA). Originally, the Calgary Broncos and them were both going to compete in the Western Hockey Association as one of two clubs from Alberta. Nevertheless, as a result of the Broncos moving to a new city and becoming the Cleveland Crusaders before the inaugural season of the WHA, the team was rebranded as the Alberta Oilers.
The Chicago Blackhawks are a professional ice hockey club that calls Chicago home. Before to 1986, the team’s name was written Black Hawks, although they are more commonly referred to as the Hawks. Since its inception in 1926, the Chicago Blackhawks have gone on to win a total of six Stanley Cups while competing in the NHL.
